it’ll probably be good… I mean, everyone obviously knows the storyline, so i’m sure that the main focus will be just watching really good special effects of the world falling apart.
Just like Day After Tomorrow… only hopefully they don’t add a whole shitty scene with CGI blood thirsty pirate ship wolves
Why so much hate on CGI movies? I like them myself. They can add alot of scenes that normally would not be capable with small scale model technology. Like it or not this is the direction movies of this type are moving towards anyway. I just enjoy them and don’t pick apart every little detail. The whole purpose is to entertain and take you from reality for a couple hours. The more over the top for me the better. Maybe that is not the general concesus. I have not done a study.
My favorite movie is the wizard of oz. If they had CGI back then they would have used the shit out of it for most of the scenes. Can you imagine the amount of scale models that were used in that flick?
Plus the writer of that movie must have been on crack to think that one up.
List some movies that eveyone thinks are pure and awesome.
I’ll start:
The Shawshank Redemption…watched it 15 times and still love it.
i dont know. i like these type of movies. it’s a little “extreme” like newman said, but i’d go see it for sure. i love big budget films
Did anyone watch this? It was meh. They left out so much critical stuff and talked about useless bs.
wait, you dont really believe the world is ending in 2012 do you?
^No I mean they just talked to a few people with crazy theories but no scientific evidence.
I am just saying there is a ton of actual physical evidence about ancient civilizations they didn’t even mention.
ah, well it is the history channel…
Has anyone seen the movie yet? Does it live up to its full suck potential?
Was watching history channel last night. They were talking about how Yellowstone National Park is a giant super valcanoe that will wipe out the world in 2012.
I’m scurred.
I went to a pre screening and it was good til about the last maybe 45 minutes. It’s a long ass movie so prepare yourself to be sitting in the theater for about 3 hours or so.
Overall it had very good effects and such but the plot sucked the last 45 minutes. Too Fake.
Either way, if you put water world and day after tomorrow together they will make 2012.
Does the Earth stop spinning in the movie?
In the movie is the end 12-21-2012 or is it 2-14-2013?
Is planet X involved at all?
Do they follow any theory or is it just cgi bs?
Looks like it will be something similar to the day after tomorrow, which was “Oh my god global warming caused the polar ice caps to melt enough to cause the oceans to reach a critical desalination point, shifting the ocean currents and changing the entire planet’s climate in a matter of hours!” cue 2 hours of special effects
This looks like it will have a similar single sentence plot.
I love a good leave-your-brain-at-home disaster movie every once in a while. :run:
Yep, got free passes, going to see it after work. Not expecting anything of value from it other than shit being blow’d up
