2013 Ford Fusion/Mondeo redesign

Looks like the same design language as the rest of the European-Ford sedan portfolio.

I think it looks elegant, aside from a few too extra character lines. Even if it has resemblance to the Sonata, the new Fusion seems like a more cohesive design (I don’t know why the Sonata has that ugly chrome strip between the hood and fender, and the rear 3/4 view is one big mess of excessiveness).

Does the exterior form of the Sonata impede on outward visibility on the inside? I’d rather drive an boring to-look-at car than one that has horrible sight lines. While the Accord has always been a very conservative design, it has retained excellent visibility throughout its redesigns.

I like the outside, especially the DB9-ish elements, but am I the only one who finds the interior to be absolutely awful?

That interior definately is a little bland…

interior looks like the focus, taurus, explorer, and current fusion. it’s very in-line with what they currently have

We cross shopped the Elantra/Sonata with the Fusion a couple months ago and the wife couldn’t stand driving either of them because the A-pillars and side mirrors caused huge blind spots for her when trying to look left or right at intersections and such. They’re nice cars but the Fusion was easier and more enjoyable to drive for her, they really are a great car.

Rather have the focus st…will probably be cheaper too. I do like what Ford’s doing with their vehicles the last few years though muchhhh better
