2016/2017 snowmobile season

that’s the thing, the nanny state. i’m not saying WA is perfect, but hell, we have public mountain bike trails that have all sorts of huge jumps, ladders etc that u could easily fuck yourself up on. in NYS, it would be illegal because of “liability” reasons.

We have tons of public land, both state and federal, where we can go do as we please (as long as we are being good environmental stewards e.g. not leaving trash everywhere)

We do have inner city people try to ruin it for the rest of the state (I’m lookin at you Seattle) but most of our citizens are willing to stand up to Goliath to protect our recreation areas.

It is not just trails it is EVERYTHING about living in a place like Wyoming etc. New York sucks… period.

New York’s politics and welfare situation suck. I’ll give you that. You can flush NYC. BUT the rest of the state, is quite nice. Much worse out there, for living in.

Geographically it has much to offer.

…yet fails to capitalize.

I saw a guy riding tonight on my way home which made me think there was a foot of snow like in Springville. Once I got out of my vehicle I realized the guy was riding on a dusting. LOL

^ He better have been riding in his own property. Trails are closed.

It was not a marked trail.

Oh shit, snow’s here and trails are opening around the state so I better get going. Bought a 2010 Rush off my homeboi @Shockwave179 with some assembly required. Tore into it yesterday.

New bearings & slides.

600 cfi was a little low on compression @ 6,000 miles. 105/110 so gonna toss in new slugs.

Ring lands near the exhaust port was starting to open on both pistons.

Popped the walker evans off to get rebuilt. Steve is in Florida til the 27th, anyone else around WNY able to do shock rebuilds before then?

Had to order a few things but should be good to go by early January.

I’m hoping that something opens locally, at least south this week. If not, I’m heading to Tug Hill Wednesday / Thursday.

After this week the weather outlook is terrible everywhere. It’ll be well into January before there is riding again from the looks of it.

The rain killed off alot that we had in Genesee County. I went for a rip yesterday. We went from 12 inches to about 5-6. The fields still have tons of wet spots. Not looking good.

Tons of snow at Holiday Valley (thanks to the snowmakers) when you guys are ready to sell the sleds and buy some skis.

^ Nothing there that’s going to get the trails open until past Jan 2nd for WNY.

Already been out 8 times this year, and our winter hasn’t “officially” started. We’ve been getting dumped on, and usually we don’t get amazing riding until January. Needless to say, the only reason I haven’t rode more is needed a few days to rest before I get back out!

You should join trailconditions.com you’d fit right in there.

Jackson Hole Ski resort (Wyoming)

217” - This Season

Hahaha, I’m actually on there.

I hate you

LOL

Side note, some of the stuff east of Rochester opened up last night like Williamson and Lakeshore but I don’t see them staying open long with the warm up on it’s way. Hopefully we go back to the cold pattern soon.
