240sx Emissions Preparations

I’m going to get my 92 E-Tested this week. I just wanted to know what preparations i should go through. The cars hasn’t been driven in a year but it still stars. Also there is a 3" Apexi cat back which is also what im scared about since she might have a greater chance to fail.

So far im thinking to change/purchase:

-Change plugs and wires
-Better Emissions Liquid
-Removing my apexi exhaust

Anything else?

change your oil before you do it, i used royal purple once, and it worked well. also Lucas oil has an oil additive or straight oil made for emissions tests. you can change your oil filter, spark plugs, o2 sensor ($$$), check your PCV Valve, if you can make your car burn lean for the testing, like if you had an AFC or something lke that, i know some o these you’ve listed. but deffinately change your oil though

dont make it run lean, your nox will be higher and possibly fail, just make sure its running well…
just a tip…

really, i didnt know it would make your NOx higher, sorry about that

run race gas and methanol

ill use royal purple i guess. I was also wondering what are the average reasdings for 240’s, if they are cars that usually fail alot with high nox. Just wanted to know their average readings and what causes them to usually fail.
