here is a carefull update on whats going on with my 240 i saved…after carefull inspection of the head and block i have found no damage to any bearing journals and the scoring on the cylinderwalls was minor…i had to hone out some imperfections thou from the original casting “casting bubbles”…they were minor and not fatal to the build…im now sittin at 89.08mm on all 4 cylinders and im debating on boring the rest by stone to 90.00mm even…im still up in the air about what compression ratio ill aim for…there are a few choices…8:1…8.5:1…9:1…and 10.5:1…if i go the 10.5:1 ill be suckin gas at the pump and it will have to be high octane for knocks…this build so far with what i have planned will set me back 2k for the engine internals…if ya plan on building up a ka24de…drop me a line and ill hook ya up with the links for the parts and options.
id go with the lower compression ratio its makes for a better turbo set-up later on down the road if thats the route you were thinking
