240sx question

Hey I was wondering if anyone in the burgh has any experience with taking of the complete front end of a 240. I have one that is wrecked and one with a bad frame so I was going to swap the front ends. Any info is greatly appreciated.

are the front frame rails bent? if so, you’ll probably have to either have them repaired or new ones welded on.

I guess you didn’t understand what I am saying. the WHOLE FRONT END IS BENT on one car, I’m going to cut it off and take the STRAIGHT front end off the other one and weld it on. What I want to know is if anyone knows of an easy way to cut the front ends off. I want to cut it right at the fire wall, I’m going drill out the factory spot welds. But I don’t know if there is a way that the front end can actually come off cleanly without cutting the crap out of it.

buy a good spotweld drill bit. can get at any body supply store. and get some extra cutters as you will need them. i would talk to a frame shop and see what they would need. that way they can make sure it is straight. the new apron neeeds to line up.

Im goin to loyds friday …let me know if you want anything steve.
