Meaning you’re in the clear if you bought it before the ban, just like the 1994 ban. I’m curious to know what in the Christ could be 900 exemptions? That’s a lot. Some or most are probably for federal officers or police etc. but still, 9-fucking-hundred?

Reading the comments the lawmakers are making is obvious they think a firearm can only take one magazine, they apparently haven’t grasped the concept you can carry more than one 10 round mag and still fire the same amount of rounds.

“Clips of 10 bullets”. LOL. It’s a magazine and bullets won’t do shit without powder, casing, and primer.

How would you prove legal possession?
I don’t imagine most people keep their receipts, and a gun isn’t stamped with a date of purchase, so unless there is something I am missing here there’s gonna be in issue. As far as magazines - they are on the right track, since they want to ban everything that has a detachable mag altogether.
