29% think armed revolution might soon be necessary

Cliffs:

Need more Pew Pew and less QQ

This is the only part I’m going to quote because the rest is just perfectly spot on.

As for the quoted part though, do you honestly believe our volunteer military would obey orders to attack citizens here on domestic soil? More specifically, citizens who were merely standing up for the rights and freedoms that the majority in our military signed up to defend. I guarantee it wouldn’t be 100% willing to follow that order so now you have some portion of the worlds most powerful military taking the side of the revolutionaries. Evens the odds a bit doesn’t it?

Besides that, the insurgents in the Middle East have already given us a blueprint for how to fight a far superior force while hiding inside a civilian population.

^ That’s what the drones are going to be for

Drones. Shit, beat me to it.

My drones thing went off.

Just build your own drone to fight back. I’m already putting together a parts list to build one of these FPV systems:

I’ll have to disagree with you on this one. The majority of our military is made up of national guard and reserve who are citizen soldiers. Unless bombs and heavy ordnance were involved the army would not be as effective as you think. I’m not even going to touch the amount of well trained veterans out there whose skills surpass that of the majority of law enforcement(there’s a reason we’re all on the DHS watch list).
Now lets talk active duty… Even a straw poll of friends I’ve talked to says most of them would not fight our own citizens(on home soil) and would be more worried about their families.

I’m with Jay and Freek on this. (All the military people please do not take offense to anything I say, I thank every one of you for what you’ve done!!)

Do you really think an army that’s made up of the citizens who are doing the uprising are going to fight against their own class? I mean the military personal that we have doing the fighting are primarily made of up the “47%” as some people would put it. The people who have no other way out of the life they started with. These are not people who are going to fight against their brothers and sisters, their best friends, the people they grew up with and rode bikes with.

If anything… those are the people who are going to turn against the government and actually be able to fight. Those are the people who are going to turn the military against the machine we know as the government…

Again, spot on responses from everyone.

The country does not have a gun problem we have an “entitlement” problem. The same demographic that caused the demonetization of pitbulls is also responsible for the demonetization of guns.

For having one of the largest armed populous we have one of the lowest gun crimes per person. That even includes chicago, you know the city with the strictest gun laws and also home to more murders than the war in the middle east last year…

This map was created using FBI and UN stats.

But I am sure it will be dismissed because it has traveled via social media.

Please go back to page 1 and re-read… the gun issue was discussed, and is a symptom of the problem, it is not the problem; it is not an entitlement issue either; corporations want you to suck on their teat, it’s a form of control.

As others have said…drones and let us also refer to Milgram’s obedience experiment. I hope to hell I’m wrong but given our dog eat dog society and the amount of control the money printers have over us I doubt soldiers will bite the hand that feeds.

The drones still have military personnel at the controls.

Fixed.

Just sent in my resume to the Illuminati. Will let you know how it goes.

Aren’t you already employed by an international bank? You are already their slave.

I think an armed revolution is necessary to keep our freedom but I also think there is no way it will happen.

When deployed for awhile I worked in the TOC that controlled the drones around the area. Drones have been around a pretty long time but only the last 2-3 years people decided to be so interested. Probably because they carry out many more attacks and are more advanced I guess. Also Iran and many other nations have had/used them for quite some time as well but they are pretty garbage. We shot one down in Iraq (2008) that was traced back to Iran, much of the arms used against us over there are.

Anyhow.

Maybe I am just not that upset with the govt but I see no reason for armed revolution. But I do firmly believe in the rights of the US population. I still think gun control doesn’t mean NO GUNS FOR ANYONE. Hopefully they can be reasonable in their approach or shift to a more root cause prevention since the guns really aren’t the problem. Also as seen in many nations that have gone this route the grass isn’t always greener. You would be pretty bummed after many of your friensd and family are dead and the new leadership is similar or even worse(in your opinion). Many people are too quick to think something like this would result in their ideal govt. Well everyone has a different ideal and while many are similar ths is just a idealistic vision and nowhere near the reality of how it would play out.

Fry, you’re the best.

Agreed.

There are peaceful ways to correct the situation, it’s easier and more efficient to correct than to blow up and rebuild.

I think that this poll is just a barometer of how powerless and disconnected the general public feels from its government of elected officials. Frustrations are high and I’m sure 24 hour access to news coverages via cable, internet, smartphones etc does not help that level of anxiety.

People need to realize that they have the power to live the lives they want. Perception is reality. Let me say that again, what you perceive is your reality. That is why we have so many different view points because you and only you are living and experiencing your unique existence. All the highs, lows, successes and struggles are uniquely yours and yours alone. Think about that for a minute.

If you choose to live an intentional life and focus on doing whatever makes you happy then no one has control over you. While I am an advocate for self defense and pro 2nd, understand that the root of the desire and need to own guns for self defense and the comfort they bring is fear. Fear. Fear of the government, fear of intruders, fear of being murdered, fear of animals etc. And that’s not to say that these fears aren’t justified and that these threats aren’t real.

Fear is a powerful emotion and probably one of the most powerful. That is why it is used so often by news outlets, advertising, movies etc. Playing on the fears of others can make people do irrational things or stir up anger, suspicion, resentment, frenzy and mass hysteria. You can either let fear control you or you can ignore it.

Choose to live your life intentionally and put the fear aside. Nothing feels better when you realize that, as fry said, we are living in a well organized anarchy and the rules are a mere guideline but ultimately they are powerless to stop you from doing what you want. That’s not to say that there are no consequences to your actions but more to say that there are no limits on what you can choose to do. Even in the most oppressive of situations.

Just breathe and live life with intent.

29%?

18% of all Americans think that Obama is Muslim.

Carry on.

I’d also like to note that if this thread had occurred 4 years ago that a majority of the people that posted legitimate points in this thread would have only replied with :tinfoilhat::tinfoilhat::tinfoilhat::tinfoilhat:

Many of the things that have been alluded to in the past have made their way on to the public stage. I have seen some real discussion about some of these topics as of the last 6 months.

I’m glad that we can now have civil conversations about subjects along these lines and that people are no longer ignoring the facts. Truthfully though it makes me feel worse knowing that many of these things have come to fruition and we seem to be heading in a direction that is not conducive to the peoples interests. The truth is so blatant that it can’t be brushed off so easily or ignored.

Here’s to hoping that with more national conversation on these topics that real change can occur… or at least in 2016 lol. Shit it will have been 16 years of a real downward spiral by then.
