One is the neutral safety switch I believe.

The other one might be cruise control related. Do you have cruise still??

Do you have to depress the clutch to start the car??

Yeah i agree with Bobby.

i have cruise but aftermarket wheel, no i do not have to press clutch to start… one maybe to do with airbag?

The one is definitely the neutral safety switch then.

Airbag would be a good guess.

Ok thanx guys…

I used this as a reference when i got around to wiring up everything, its a pretty good write up

I am not positive, but I thought that the airbag had a bright red or yellow loom around it.

Brian’s article is all about connections in the engine bay. That is not going to help him with interior wiring.

As Bobby said the one is the NSS. I won’t be around my car for a week but I’m pretty sure the other one isn’t plugged in

It has a bright red wire loom

ok well to change the subject a bit, now that i have some dsmer’s attention… My car is surging. all the lights on my car are doing it and when im in second third or fourth gear my motor is hesitant.( no not in 1st, i dont understand). As soon as i push the clutch in it runs fine. I’m on my third optima redtop fourth alternator, which i just replaced 2 weeks ago. Im taking it up to autozone tommorrow in the a.m to check it again. I dont have a system in the car, nothing is left on over night. I cleaned and eliminated the corrosion, sanded the inside of the terminals and made a very tight connection. Also added another ground to the battery. Unless it is some sort of boost leak which is prob not and im not sure if that would affect that, my guess is my alt has a bad voltage regulator… Sorry for the jibberish and bad punctuation.

You made that post very confusing. Do you mean the throttle is surging or your electrical circuit is surging?

both, im heading up to analzone right now to have them check it

I take it you’re throwing some codes then if you’re going there? Have you tried to adjust your BISS screw at all? Have you done a boost leak test? Checked your plugs? You could have a leaking injector seal.

BTW, the other plug I couldn’t think of is the cruise cancel switch

Is there any electrical components that stopped working. Sounds like u have a heavy parastitic draw. Disconnect the net battery cable. Hook one part of a test light to the terminal one part to the neg battery post. Does the test light light?( make sure the door is closed and they keys are out) if it lights up start pulling fuses one at a time till the light goes out. Once that light goes out.

So i brought it to autozone, they put a small tester on it. Said everything works great, FIGURES when i want it to do it nothing happens. So i gave it a load( defroster, heat and wipers) Then it starts messing up. I had a bad voltage regulator. Now im on the 15,000th alternator lol.(yes heat shield is intact). Im gonna look into buying the alt relocate kit…

Thanks for everyone’s help…

An alternator. relocate kit is good, moving it behind the block. But don’t buy another reman alternator., cause they are garbage. Either you get a oem type or you get a saturn alt.

Thats why i made sure i got the lifetime warranty. I have a spare(dead) alt i wanna have rebuild to a higher amp… relocate will be put in over winter…

Is your power steering pump leaking onto your alt.?

Definitely a good possibility but the non OEM alternators are known to be junk for our cars. I say go with a saturn alternator and relocate then you should not have any troubles ever again.
