put a new JMF sheet metal intake manifold, 1g ported head with SS valves, crower springs/retainers, bronze valve guides, fp3065 turbo, 2.5" v-band o2 housing, hks type II bov, and some other goodies. here are some pictures of the new set up. i just fired her up last night:
You get two thumbs up for starting early so your car will be ready when the weather breaks…of course it was almost balmy out today, but that won’t last forever.
Thats the same intake manifold I have. It has a large plenum with tapered velocity stacks. The runners are a bit longer then stock. Sacrifices a little low end to gain BIG top end. I run the same turbo but in a t3 version with a .82 a/r (gt3082r) which is slightly larger then the 3065 (.70 a/r), and it still spools pretty quick with that manifold. Low speed driveability is still good.
Stock intake manfold chokes out in the 7k rpm range even with a nice set of cams, but this intake manifold really shines in anything over 8000 rpms.
hahah, never changing to a 1g(love teh 2g body stlye too much) even though shedding the xtra lbs would be nice. thanks for the compliments, well see how she turns out next spring.
