So how’s it looking so far?
i met up with kornel at my work last week and donated like 15 bucks, 3 for the money i owed and 12 for the event. im excited this should be a huge cruise… now i gotta try not to blow my car up by then.
my graduation is this day so count me out.
Looks like Shift Donation Tally FTW!
For those who’s graduation is on that day, you can call at the end and see if it’s still going on and how many people are still there.
What better way to celebrate your graduation than with a bunch of gear heads and Root beer and food?
lol ok ill call up swift later in the day
Any updates on this, guys? ;D
i will let you guys know asap if we are in…sounds like an awesome time…
Just a quick update.
As far as the food situation goes… we have 2 options:
-
Each regional area/forum brings their own food that they would think would cover all of the people riding with them and then just put it in the food “pool” once we get to the park. Then we just cook everything that everyone brought, and it will still cover everyone.
-
Myself and Jason (b18cej8) will purchase all the food and charge like $5 at the door (REALLY TRYING TO AVOID THIS!!!)
Option 1 seems WAY easier for us, only because if people show up that never said anything… some people may not even get any food. Also, the other way around… if less people show up, and their is a lot of extra food at the end of the meet… anyone who wants the extra, just take it!! You brought it! But everyone will still get to eat.
This idea is pretty basic for right now, just trying to get everything covered so far…
Option 1 please. :nod
I like option 2, option 1 didnt work out too great at our event as alot of people didnt bring what they said they would, and it ended up with vlad having to go spend like $150, which I think is BS personally, but im not in a financial situation to do anything about it.
Option two isn’t a bad idea, however, if people say they’ll bring something and don’t, then that person (or people) go hungry. Pretty simple.
Option 2 also requires that Kornel & I purchase coolers, ice, etc, and also figure out how to transport all of this to the site. Honestly, this isn’t really something I’m really willing to do.
As organizers of the event, especially one as commercial and planned way in advance as this, you guys should have thought of this by now. Not saying it in a condescending way, but the event is in the end put on by you, and bringing the responsibility for food on the people who are going to attend is not exactly the right way to go.
People are going to drive out there wanting to relax and have a good time, not worry about food and what they have to bring.
