ordered a set of 30mm aluminum calipers with brembo cross/slot. Went to bolt them on and the tighter the bolts got the least the rotor would turn. Removed the shim, but still stuck. Anybody have any idea as to why?
if you mean that the pads dont give enough clearance for the rotor, i had teh same problem… turns out i had teh 26mm calipers all along…
if that isnt your prob then please disregard.
i just suspect that some places dont really know or distinguish between 26mm and 30mm because both will fit the Z.
Bing, the so-called 30mm A calipars I got from you also turned out to be 26mm.
Luckily, I measured the calipars before installing them. Otherwise, there would have been a bit of swearing involved. :x

You’d probably fix your problem with some '90 Z32 NA 280x26 rotors.
26mm calipars have just over 30mm groves. 30mm calipars should have about 35mm groves.
^^^
i was worried about that…
it seems both pairs that i got were 26mm instead of 30mm…
it should work in your favour, they are the more desireable of the two…
I hate you bing! j/k
At least I’ll have less clearance issues with my rims. Think I’ll get away with a 17x8+35 offset?
not sure,
you think i’ll get away with 16 x 8 +32???
i guess we’ll have to wait and see…
It all works…they are 30mm, the bolts are stock 240sx, but we had to buy washer shims for in between the spindle and caliper.
Thanks guys
The shims are of very minimal size…0.010", but for some reason it made the difference.
