yea, i think that sums it up… how isn’t it cool. well put
I never said that this feature wasn’t cool, it is just laughable that the same people that like to row a phallic device on their daily drive are scared to hit the gas pedal with the clutch in.
So basically you like to rev your engine, because unless you are pushing your car to the limits there are no benefits to heal toe.
And the correct complaint would be that it is missing two pedals.
i consider the DSG an automatic that shifts like an automatic should… better than a conventional slush box
:banghead:
It’s just not worth it.
Yeah, and that technology is awesome, but I’d still rather have the 5/6 speed. There’s just something about it…
Just saying out of habit I almost always rev match on a downshift. If my car could do it better then I can while I was beating on it I am all for it. Especially since I am a amateur driver and dont heel toe I go off brake blip shift go!! I think this could be great for someone like me as long as it is precise.
word, I am the same way.
I would like to try it out. I allways revmatch as it is, it has just become second nature. I have a feeling it will just kinda bother me.
x…
to prevent clutch wear when downshifting and for practice duh…
it is a cool system.
Brian
IDK if it would bother me… I would certainly have to get use to it. But I constantly rev match too
Thats what I was thinking. Looking at that group I can see why Nissan saw the need for the “extra help”
Awesome. Let’s get more features that take the fun out of spirited driving. You can say things like these are cool and can be turned on/off blah blah blah. When it comes right down to it they’re dumbing up the motorsport industry. It’s all good until it kills your passion for the hobby. It’s like they say, the GTR is a supercar that can be driven by anybody.
What ever happened to an awesome chassis, RWD, lightweight, and plenty of power? Fuck all these other things.
Whhhhhhat? :squint:
I personally think it would be awesome. When you go ripping through a turn you never need to worry about heal toeing it, or messing it up for that matter and loosing the ass end!
+1 for them trying to do this, I think it is a great idea.
Though I guess it does dumb up the sport.
