Yeah the bell housings are the same but not the top ends. I’m guessing a forged 3800 with a cam and ported heads will go in. I’ll probably go with the ported gen iii blower and a 100hp shot. Down the road if I keep it i’ll intercool it and put on a gen v blower.
I believe the 3800 is a 60 degree V6. And the 3.1 and 3.4 are just smaller displacement same block? I could be wrong but the 60 degree I believe it to be.
edit: Wikipedia says 90 degree but this was why I was confused.
Though the pre-3800 RWD V6 uses the BOP bellhousing pattern that it inherited from its V8 ancestor, an oddity of both the FWD and RWD 3800 V6 is that although it is a 90° V6, it uses the GM 60° V6 bell housing. For use in the RWD applications, the bellhousings on both the manual and automatic transmissions are altered slightly.
3300 is the lil brother of the 3800
3100 is the lil brother of the 3400 and not the middle child of the 3500
I have never seen the M90 made to fit the 3400. I have only seen the m90 on the Quad 4 2.3L
ya dun broked her good!
this is a pretty unique little project
Terrible site:

ewww…especially when a turbo would be so much easier.
Wow, that is weird. The funny thing is the Quad4 that had the m90 was a Beretta too.
That should hold some power. Great update!
Hope so. Fully forged, 10:1, ported & polished heads, custom comp cam. Coupling that with a ported intake and the M90. Going to stick with a comfortable 10PSI and a 100hp of naz to help keep intake temps low. Hoping for 500whp+ … in a fucking 1994 cavy lol.
LOL nice stuff!
I don’t understand how this makes the corvette faster
Just got done installing the new Kooks 2" primaries, with full 3" exhaust and the fast 102. I’ll have it on a dyno in January to see what she can do on a 250 shot, hoping for 800whp+ and some monster torque. Also just got done doing side pipes, 3.73 gears and a few other things to the viper. Heading to China till December then Cali for a few days and back to Buffalo for xmass for a couple weeks.
bye bye 1 3/4 Lg’s
That’s sweet!
Between China and Christmas I found some time to purchase a Series III 3800 with the Gen V blower and rip that apart. The new engine is on the stand, I need to pull out the old one and swap this into her.
Now I’m curious at what kind of power she will make. Can’t wait to have her out kicking butt on the street again.
