Finally had the chance to test out our turbo kit on the dyno. It’s been a little crazy around here, but this car is definitely worthy of some well deserved attention.
We designed/tested this kit over the summer for reliability, driveability and obiously, performance… we didn’t wrap or coat the header because being a new design/product, we wanted to keep an eye on it’s wear.
Now that we know it’s making some pretty respectable power, you can expect to see this kit offered in the very near future with our tubular header in a black coated finish.
No the power is alot more gradual and it doesnt load the suspention up as fast.
The lagacy, I have have used the wrong words when I said the straps “stretch”. It was more of a suspension loading and unloading factor. If you watch the video you can clearly see the car move as the stock suspension is a bit softer then the Evos.
You also have to take into acount where the front wheels sit on the rollers. In the Evo they are between two, and the lagacy was sitting over the top of one allowing it to move one way or the other alot easier…
We actually had a brand new STOCK STI on the dyno the other day and that was alot worse then the lagacy. Must knock all the way through?..
Definately sweet to see numbers but I agree I would have thought it would be putting down a bit more with 26psi, cams, etc. out of a 35R. Still VERRRY respectable though!
