Maybe ya luck out and just need some wiring, its happened before!
True, True, I’ll be hitting sechrists in the morning, since pewter doesn’t have one. But he does have the v8 craddle, so that looks like the next option…:hsdance:
sounds good man, i hope its just wiring so u can somewhat spare the motor.
you could try puttin the old motor on thirdgen.org as i know ppl in there like to swap in 3.4’s…not a damn clue WHY but they do like keepin V6’s in their camaros/trans ams… :kekegay:
BAD. DON"T buy another one and stick in there. I had a 95 firebird for awhile with a 3.4 in 15k miles with 87k on the engine it started having major problems, basically needed a new engine, and I maintain my things pretty well as far as tune-ups and such go. They also have no power at all.
Well it dosen’t look like I’m getting that lucky. Started to fill the rad with water as it “looked” low, and all of the water ran out of the back of the motor. So it looks like I’m gonna drop it on the floor, and see whats what foe sure. I bought with the seller telling me it had bad freeze plugs, so I’m still within what I had thought about spending. But I was hoping to drop a carbed 350 in it, that is rebuilt sitting in my garage. But it really doesn’t look like there would be enough room for a carb under there. Not to mention the distributor.:eek3: So we ( the wife and I) will need to make some decesions, such as v8 or v6, or maybe just part it out and toss the money into another car. But for now it looks like we might be going with another v6, and get it running…
could try gettin a smaller 87 up distributor with remote coil or w/e. i do believe they are alot shorter than older style distributors
I was going to say dont til I saw your in Connellsville, no emissions, you lucky sob!
u must of had one of the few weak ones!
its 93 only!
is the wiring on the 93 different than that on the 94 up v6?
Yea that sucks, 93 was a speed density system, 94 and up wa mas air flow…
not on v6’s,but yes 93 is 93 only!
didn’t relize that. i thought it applied to all of the '93s. So in my case, I would still need a '93 harness? Say a '94 wouldn’t work???
correct
So did you get me one yet???
I guess I just gotta come over and rob you…:reloading
J-K:rofl:
so what color is it? what kind of shape is the body in? all this engine :blah:
its in good shape … salad shooters and all, although my 88 is nicer.
You wish…:booty:
Its not bad really. It has the normal driver seat wear, salad shooters as neonracer said the hood was wiped out, but the seller gave me a brand new hood. The inside needs a good scurbing, and it had a stupid ass redneck install an aftermarket alarm, so there is some wiring that needs fixed up, nothing major but just shit I dont like. I will post some pictures in the next few days.
oh man I hate fucking with other peoples homemade wiring jobs
