FS 1994 EG33 swap setup

I’m selling this “swap kit” so to say as I bit the bullet and initiated the production of the first batch of parts for the V12 engine. I’m not even going to bother with this as a developmental/test engine now as I’m only offering two power plant choices with this kit car now(Porsche 3.6 and the V12 6.1 liter)

What you get:

1994 EG33(Subaru SVX engine), 38K miles
COMPLETE engine wiring harness including the fuse panels, ignition key and switch, all sensors
ECU
SVX dash cluster(gauges)
MAF and stock airbox
Starter
Twin butterfly TB and intake manifold assembly
SVX front subframe assembly with engine mounts
Alternator

This is a flat six 3.3L engine that was used only in the Subaru SVX cars. This particular engine was a factory replaced core, records showed it had just over 38K miles on it at the time I bought the car(blown transmission).

Some have swapped this into WRX/RS’s before with some work. It will bolt up to any subaru transmission, but it’s obvious that I a six speed would be the only recommended unit due to torque output(~260). It’s also been put into various Porsches, aircraft, personal helicopters, sand rails, junior dragsters, etc.

The motor runs superbly. I will guarantee that, would never sell you shit. I am unsure of any timing belt work that may or may have not been done to it when the tallblock was installed into the car however this motor is non-interference anyway and if it pops there’s no worry of bent valves. Just replace the belt.

$700 is the price for it all, not $1700…my bad

I can install this into any subaru for the buyer. fuck I can shoehorn it into anything if you’re wallet suffices. We can discuss that at the time of purchase. If you’d like it built for boost we can talk about that too. I’ve setup several of these motors with 2.2L internals for boost.

Right now the engine resides in a temp test/run rig I fabricated to use for setting up the entire drivetrain for the kit car. You can have that whole rolling frame if you’d like.

I will deliver within 75 miles of my location (zip 12020). I have the title of the car this motor came from as well for logistics and legal paperwork if necessary. Inquire at time of purchase.

Contact me at 518-225-8384 if you’re interested.

Also dug out an AC compressor and two primary o2 sensors for this.

this would be hilarious to dump into my 2.5RS.

GLWS

yes it would! I gotta talk to you about other things , will sned a pm

Wow, aaah. just realized that I had put $1700 for the price :lol that’s was supposed to be $700. opps

MAF and o2 sensors are sold, harness/PCM/fuse panels might be sold as well.

PRice for engine alone with TB’s is $450 as it sits now

:banghead

why the frustration my good sir?

for $700 I would have seriously considered this… do any of my sensors switch over?

to what the 2.5RS? some do, some don’t the only ones gone are the MAS and the primary o2 sensors, all else is still with the motor. I haven’t sold the PCM/Harness/fuse boxes yet either. i’ll toss them all in with the motor for $50 ($500 total for engine and electronics). I’ll even toss in the cluster and the airbox/air tube.

PM’d ya. Im curious to see what this project would take.

The motor bolts up to a 2.5RS transmission. There will be some work required up front to squeeze the rad inplace, or do twin small rads to the side. slimfans are required. obviously exhaust would have to be made.

Wiring…I have the harness for the motor, would have to splice into some of your harness…I have stock cluster you can work in if necessary. PCM and related just plug into it. biggest issue for a street car in NY is passing obd2 inspection…

The mechanics of it are really just basic bolt in/wiring with some very minor fab work required. There’s a good amount of 97-02’s running around in europe and austrailia with the swap, legacy’s, imprezzas, etc…

I just PM’d you no… but now that I see that you have all the wiring and PCM I’m still kinda interested.

any ideas for inspection?

You know you want to, Mike… haha, I spent a little while yesterday thinking about it… :thumbup

mike reg it in VT.

Yeah, getting it to pass OBD2 inspection in NY would be tough(legally anyway)

Registering it in VT would be the easy thing to do, literally… They don’t give a shit what you register…

Let me know regardless of your decision. If you want it I can meet you halfway down the thruway(syracuse maybe) and we can transfer it over between trucks(borrow a pickup :lol) Could do that when I finish up your IC and kill two shipping things at once… The motor is currently on a rolling “run rig” that I made to test run the engine with other EMS systems. it’ll roll pretty easy from one bed to another.

I wish I had like an extra 8K layin around, that motor plus

would make the utimate combo winter/fun sleeper car lol

omg, i know the perfect car for this too that’s for sale…shit for $5k you would have a sick daily driver including cost of car.

I’m going to have to pass on this adam. too many projects going on.

oh, and I realized I uninstalled solidworks so I’m going to have to go to the computer lab to get you the drawings of the IC setup. I’ll PM you when I get it.

lol’s no problem. I may get ambitious and put it int he WRX anyway.

Remember to save as file type for 2006 rendition of SW…

hrm, interesting…

are you pondering what I’m pondering pinky?
