Came @ 8 this morning, I couldnt bribe anyone to get it here for last night’s game.

HL-S6187W 61" Widescreen DLP® HDTV with 1080p Resolution

lol@using a DVD for your demo shots
nice looking TV, looks a bit big for the viewing seats shown in the picture.

51" ain’t shit. :pimp:

Nice TV, dwarfs the room like any real TV should.

nice

that’d be 61"…which is :pimp:

Sweet rainforest in there…

that tv looks a bit big for that room, irregarless its a hot tv

sexy!

Sorry, but 61" is not :pimp: in comparison to 110", now that’s :pimp:

the 1080p is close, but almost nothing is out in that format yet.

Not a bad TV actually, I’ve thought about getting a smaller one about that size for day-2-day viewing and leave the 110" for movies/games only…

Those werent demo shots  I had just finished connections, that’s what was on.

It’s just a hair too big for the seating shown, they are ~7’ distance. Prime seating is not shown in pics (10-14’)

61" is definately the maximum for this room, but I’m okay with that. Friggin dwarfs the 75 gallon tank that used to be the focal point of the room. Not too mention, We worked a deal on the price… 61" was only ~$200 more then 50". No brainer.

Rainforset needs to be cleaned up still as well. That vine stretches ~8-10’ in either direction.

1080p is nice, but i agree that there is not enough support out there. 1080 was not the selling point for us.

It’s great @ 700, 10,000:1 contrast, 7 panel color wheel. We spent a few hours @ 6 or 7 different retail shops over the last week, We (wife & I) agreed that Sammy’s DLP was the best. Particularly the XX87W models. 10,000:1 > alot of other brands, technologies & models. We actually dialed it down a bit.

Now I just need to update the adelphia dig. box. Need HDMI, or at least Component outputs :frowning: And… BuickGN, I know Sat > Digi Cable, but it’s a compromise that I have to deal with for a bit.

badass

Beck is actually freakishly tall, accentuated by his double digit weight.

Uhm, 10ft is not the proper viewing distance for 61"… shit, it’s a bit close for 42".

id hit it…yu guys are some major neard…how the hell do you know “proper seatin arrangement distances” for different size tvs? hahaha

There are actually formula’s and charts that determine seating distance from a set TV size, as well as proper speaker placements for true surround sound systems.

My TV is too large for the room, but personally I don’t care. I have a 110" TV with a 15’ viewing distance.

Did you buy that TV at Sears? I think you bought it from me…

nice buy, what kind of warr. do you get with it?

yes exactly, i think the proper distance for a 42 is like 8 feet or something.

my 50 is at around 9 feet, a bit close but its fine.

62 and 10 feet is wayyyyy to close im thinking

Pffftt…

good god!

61 inches of l-o-v-e plaaayerrrrrrr
