My mom is trying to find a 6-month lease apartment in Westmoreland (Irwin, North Huntingdon areas) and is having a hard time. She’s called several different places, all have 1 year leases.
She’s looking for 6 months as soemthing temporary until she can find a house.
Anyone have any suggestions or know of anything?
There’s some month to month(business lease type) apartments in New Stanton, but they are so expensive you’re better off with a one year lease and paying the penalty if she finds something that fast.
Hm. I really have no idea on anything on the topic. I’ve never even looked into apartments up to this point.
I suppose I should just search around a bit.
How does she like the Murrysville area?

Go on Craigslist in the housing section and post under housing wanted. It worked for me Im in a fully furnished vacation home for 6 weeks.
i know i had a hard time getting a six month lease in the oakland/shadyside area, but craigslist is where i finally found one.
Craigslist is also where I found my new place.
