You can live fairly good in WNY on 60k. I dont think 100K in NYC goes far. then add traffic, bridges, parking, etc…

It really depends on the City… would never want to live in LA.
If you consider Chicago a big city, $100,000 will take you pretty far there.
Trying to buy a decent house in a big city on 100k isn’t very easy.
50K a year in buffalo will go much further than LA or NY. Housing is cheaper not to mention, you wont get raped when Obama raises taxes for “the rich”

Depends on if you can deal with the weather, or if you like the weather here.
100k in vegas is plenty of money, and there is no state income tax.
Same deal with most areas of florida.
As much as I love Buffalo, I plan on moving out after college, and that being said I would rather have 100K and living in the Carolina’s or Virginia

i wouldn’t be happy with either given the respective locations, but between the two, i’d take 60k in buffalo.
It all depends on your lifestyle, in my case, I like having a house, and hobbies, and the ability to enjoy a nice vacation every year, and saving some money. Couldn’t do it on 60k a year.
