Haven’t had a chance to watch the vid yet. Do they discuss the fact that a lot of these depreciate so much because repairs on their incredibly complex systems are going to require a 2nd mortgage to pay for once they’re out of warranty?
Baller on a budget never works.
everybody who doesn’t buy one of these says that and everybody who does and is smart enough to troubleshoot doesn’t care and is not miserable. Even if you drop in a $5k transmission in an SL55 you still lost less money than when the original owner drove it off the lot.
The key is to be able to absorb a couple punches when they come.
too late…
E9X m3 will be my next “fun” car purchase. love them.
O M G
I just searched autotrader, the prices have gone up $40000 since I was searching in August!
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
yup.
i say 964 or 911 swb
the 930 body doesnt really do it for me unless its backdated
I doubt any bubble will burst because people buying these generally are not affected by blips in the economy. These aren’t fucktards heavily financing Lambos.
Totally off topic but does anyone like 968s? I really do. Will probably be my first Porsche.
They do have some appeal. Kind of timeless… In a way.
Fun way to get into a nice vert. Coupes are harder to find. Not too hard but…
i like them better than 928’s thats for sure.
There was a local 5sp coupe in good shape with maint records w/ 133k for $6700 last summer. It had a car phone too!
e36 m3 equivalent performance in something unique for less money.
People don’t know what 968 are so if they see you they probably say, “Wow, some rare, obscure Porsche!”

It is like a newer 944. My first car purchased was a 944 and to this day I loved the balance of everything about it… Save the 143hp. The 80’s SUCKED. Lol. The 968 has more powa so…
a well done black C6 Z06 is ungodly hawt… they give me boners.
however, most dudes who buy C6 Z06’s buy them because they dont know how to make cars fast or they’re old and stinky and their Z06’s are not boner inducing.
it’s true that E9X M3’s are not that fast. However, they are so well balanced and by that i dont mean just suspension. Interior quality and features, just enough power to enjoy without looking like a retard and gorgeous but not over the top aesthetically. i regret nothing… except what’s going to happen to me on resale… yeah the first owner takes a 40%-50% hit but so does the second owner
My dad had a 968 vert back in the day, that 3.0L 4 was torquey and revved pretty good. Well balanced car for sure. I liked that car a lot.
X…
Absolutely…one of my favorites…the 3 liter 4 is a great concept, and those cars drove very nice…plus the exclusivity is a neat concept…even though it is just a mostly re-worked 944…I always liked them…
968s are great if you can find them.
I think the front engine water cooled Porsches are some of the best . . .
I raced a 944S2 for a season and was very fond of it.
Also owned a 944 S, 944 turbo and currently own a 924 - they all have their virtues.
Never had a 928 but everyone I know who owns one loves theirs to death, but readily admits that they dump tons of money into it.
The later S4 variant of the 928 is pretty cool with the 6 speed.
