8/20 Autocross @ Seneca Army Depot

8/20 Autocross @ Seneca Army Depot
This is the last FLR-hosted event* at Seneca Army Depot this year. Get your ass out there! It’s worth the drive.

                                                        [![http://static.flickr.com/77/196697149_2aac092209_m.jpg](http://static.flickr.com/77/196697149_2aac092209_m.jpg)](http://flickr.com/photos/marnie/196697149/)

The course will be “inspired by” the Northeast Divisionals course from Saturday (the day that it rained). Here’s our chance to see what it was supposed to be like. http://roclife.org/forums/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

*(WNY hosts Seneca Grand Prix #4 on the 27th – you do have one more chance this year)

Hmm, if it is basically the Saturday course, maybe I’ll get it right this time. Of course, three runs in the same conditions would make that alot easier, rather than the rapidly improving conditions that the fourth heat had on Saturday (basically meant that only your third run would count, and I coned it)

Too bad I’m on my way to NJ that day… :frowning:

yayyyyy i am really looking forward to this in the honda.

is there a course map online anywhere?

map as posted yesterday on the flrsolo yahoo group.

To me it actually looks more like a best of saturday and sunday course. The tweaks that were made look like they will make the course incredibly fast in spots, as most of the hard turns have been softened. The ‘oops I forgot one’ slalom is in there, which was a ton of fun.

I’m going to miss the big sweeping turns on the concrete…

Yeah, now its just a long straightaway

I’ll be there. Big surprise.

And thats why I’m all excited to be in ESP this weekend  . Sorry Bret, but if all goes well I should be back in the MR2 for our event there (not like it’s an MR2 course or anything  ). But if all doesn’t go well, I’ll know who to ask for a ride (weel, it’s not that much of an MR2 course).

Now if I can just keep up my streak of beating car owners, I’ll be happy!

I’ll have something to say about that  . I’m going to install my switch to retard the timing about 10 degrees.

He’d still probably beat you. You’d be better off with a switch to retard the driver. I kid… I kid…

So I guess if I’m to have any competition in ES this weekend, I’ll be looking for a co-driver. Anybody interested?

If it was local I’d take you up on that.

I might take you up on that. I wouldn’t mind playing tire warmer so you can cut some fast times. We’ll see how my axle replacement goes on Saturday.

Actually, the V710s are better when they are cold, so you’d be the 2nd driver, if you decide to run.

Check the pax standings and event pax results… someone has 101 points next to their name, someone else doesn’t
[/trashtalk]

ouch, hey, now who’s the one that has a Pro win in a car he’d only driven once before at their 2nd Pro event hmmm…?

and it’s tough to be so high in the standings without a single PAX win plus that other event in that miata i had never thought I would even get to drive.

 . Tell you what, its ok if you beat me as long as you take PAX while doing it. That would be a worthwhile loss. If you beat me and don’t win, you’ll just be hearing excuses all the way home .

Well, depending on how hungover I am, and how bad my head hurts, that may be a good threat.

anybody want to cruise up together tomorrow morning?
