85 buick regal t type (hot air motor)

Went to the local track tonight had three runs. First time leaving from idle ran a 15.0 at 93. Second time up (i had acl surgery last week so can’t left foot brake it) I right foot braked it with my crutch on the gas pedal, left at 0psi and pulled a 2.3 short time and a 14.8 at 92. Third time I had a friend take the wheel (ala two good legs) to break boost some more. 2psi launch brought a 2.2 short time and a 14.53 at 93.

Mods are:
stock dp, side dump
autozone 3in intake
new vacuum lines
86-86 ecu with stock 87 chip
AEM progessive methanol on a M5 nozzle.

Meh I was enjoying it.

Nice

nice, stock vehicles are fun

remember these cars new in 85 ran only 15.7’s… not bad change for the mods.

nice

ya its stocker then your notch was

Someone said something?

that’s saying is older the pewter, u would think with all ur free time you could come up with something better then that

how fast does it get to mcdonalds now?

quik stock, everything but the bottom end

whats more amazing is the stupidity in the first post, u are racing with a crutch? jesus fucking christ is that a joke?

LOLOLOLOL

I call it ingenuity…

hey now, Leaving off idle just wasn’t gonna cut it. It needed alil gas to get off the line what was I supposed to do? Not race? You’ve got to be kidding me.

x2

Decent times for little mods.

T-Types are awesome. How hard is it to intercool it?

Sure it’s as simple as a shot of nitrous to help boost that alky system! lol
No it’s pretty involved to intercool a HA T-type, but I don’t have one so I dunno.
Great times BoostedYards86

to intercool a hot air u throw on a front mount and route some piping… to do it right means getting 86-87 parts including:
passenger side header, intake manifold, throttle body, ac, alternator, serpentine system, going to electric fans, tb, coil pack, etc etc etc.

thank god u raced and got those wicked fucking times. i dont give a fuck what u left the line at. what if ur kick ass throttle crutch got stuck at wide open at the end of the track? there is something called common sense. it should have kicked in at that point and been like hey wait, this doesnt seem like a fantastic idea…

yeah what if you died before i got my 20 bucks, that shit has been gaining interest for awhile now
