89 240 wheel bearings

From what I see, the wheel bearing is all one piece. It’s inside the hub which contains the studs etc. Anyways, is this correct that it’s all one piece in there? If so, how do you take it out? I got the wheel bearings out, their like ball bearings. I got everything from the inside out. If it’s not a removable piece, how do you get new ball bearings in? I had to break one getting it out so it’s a tight squeeze
