89-90 240sx Question

Hey everyone,

I’ve been getting frustrated about the lack of information available on the 89-90 240. I’ve been searching through the FSM available online but, BUT the FSM is for the 180sx and not specific to our cars.

So, this question is posed to any owning a Canadian FSM and specific to the KA24E. In the PD (Propeller Shaft) section can you tell me what Model propeller shaft is listed for the M/T and the A/T?

And differnt Input shafts too.

What do you mean, different? Those are the exact same model numbers for the 91 - 93 240sx.

If I swap the driveshaft and tranny from an 89 240sx into my 91 it should fit.

Model numbers are the same so I figure the length’s should be the same.

It’s like the 95+ 240’s. The Manual Driveshaft model number is 3S63A-T which is the same as the 91-94 automatic transmissions.

Sure.

3S63AR (MT)

1st tube - 395mm (15.55in)
2nd tube - 605mm (23.82in)

3S63AT (AT)

1st tube - 432mm (17.01in)
2nd tube - 605mm (23.82in)

They are also different depending if the car has ABS or not (the rear shaft is about 3/4" shorter on ABS cars.
