'91 240sx fastback.
338k. engine rebuilt with approx 120k japanese ka24de. 205/55 R16 rims .Standard 5spd.
small bits: K&N cone, NGK plug wires and spark plugs, 300zx fuel filter. Sony Xplod CD player. 4 non-stock audio speakers.
Problems: Due to good reliability of ka24de, the engine doesnt have any major problems, the nagging problem is with vacuum leak in manifold which causes the engine to stall if the gas pedal is not kept to rev the engine above 1500 rpm every 3 seconds. Tranny is jerky when engine braking and the differential causes knocking sound when cornering at high speed due to old differential gears. Suspension is bouncy, the shocks and coils need to be replaced as you can really feel all the bumps on the road. Brakes are stock and have been changed recently (pads, rotors), e-brake needs to be fixed and tightened properly.
Car is basic model, has no A/C and the heater core needs to be changed. Exhaust pipe is leaking somewhere where the catalytic converter is, which might pose problems to emission testing.
the body is in relatively good shape. But as you may tell by the photos the hood and the right front fender are bent which was the cause of another vehicle backing up at my car in the stationary position. Front right pop-up light is missing a rod which connects to the motor that opens and closes the light and thus remains fixed open (the light bulb needs replacement or the connections rewired). The rear hatch spoiler has been removed as it was causing rust on the back trunk due to the water accumulated in the cheap spongy spoiler material, as most similar models suffer from the same problem, and after the removal what’s left is a few holes (see inset), which can be fixed/patched. Floor mats have been removed due to the odor and rust caused by the water. The glass on the passanger gets stuck 3/4 of the way from closed position (roller problem between the door assembly).
