i wouldnt have changed heads but i already had everything to bolt on and not have to buy anything else.

For all the trouble you will go through and the money you will spend just get a junkyard 350 and get it rebuilt. No 305 is worth all this. Also the stuff you have will bolt up easily to an old 350. Just my opinion.

i already have the 305ā€¦

With all the work involved to make everything work you might as well spend $100 on a 350. You might get 200hp out of the 305 if youā€™re lucky. Most only put out 160 - 190hp. I just donā€™t see the point. What is this motor going in and what is your purpose for the car?

You didnā€™t have to change the headsā€¦nor would you have had to buy anything extra by running the TBI headsā€¦all you accomplished by changing them is you cost yourself a point or so of compression so the 305 will be slower yet.

If youā€™re going to waste more time on a TBI motor why not just get the TBI setup? I have a whole 91 305 TBI if you want to save yourself some problems. Iā€™ll sell you whatever you need.

This could be the start of much, much more confusion then there already is.

TBI is no harder than carb, just more wires. I converted from TBI to TPI in my old 91 rs. Itā€™s not hard. The point still is the 305 isnā€™t worth using just because itā€™s there.

He, too, has a complete TBI set-up. All he needed was an ecu, but he wanted to go carbedā€¦

last year i bought a new carb and intake and used them only a short while and am using them for now, the 305 will be fine to get the car on the road until i get some extra cashā€¦ this winter ill put together a 350 .

i thought you wanted it???

I doā€¦

Running yet???

not yet ā€¦ fuel system trouble.

blow it, buy a boat, float down the yough and then use the block as an anchor as you fish in the back of my houseā€¦
