91 Ethanol Free vs. 93 Oct.

Would there be any advantage over the other on a boosted car? Noticed Delta sonic now carries 91 ethanol free and got me thinking.

I wish I had a DS out here. I don’t mind running the ethanol blend in the Evolution or the Special but in the fastback I have to mix in Lucas ethanol neutralizer. It eats up vintage cars’ carbs, and I had to rebuild my Holley because I didn’t neutralize as much as I should have.

Fixed that for you…
Some people even switch to Avgas in their 2 cycles to avoid ethanol.
The tonawanda reservation (near akron) also sells ethanol free in all grades.

I’ve only seen the ethanol free gas at delta sonic in Niagara Falls. I think it is targeted towards marine use.

I know that over time it ethanol in gas will kill Z injectors (and other older cars) but I haven’t gone out of my way to avoid it.

Correct.

93 will be better, ethanol will lower fuel economy but help combat knock

Noco on Rt 5 in Lackawanna has E-free 91. I just started taking enough home to keep my old Mustang and my mowers running.

ive been running startron additive in my sled. good stuff. i have to run a minimum of 93 due to my modifications or itll burn down. never had an issue even in zero degree temps.

I run and many others run startron in are jet skis with 93.

would this stuff be better to use in my 2 stroke quad and bike?

noco on G.I. has it too
