Here’s some new pics of the car. For those of you who missed it… it’s a '73 Camaro that’s being built ground up by my friend and I. 4 link rear susp. w/ coil-overs and a 9". Custom front subframe w/ coil-overs and a motor plate for a LS1. All forged APE built 348 low compresion LS1. 91mm Turbo. Built T56. Mini-tubbed rear. And a whole lot more.
thats badass man!!! when i see that…i think the hotchkins camaro on roids!!! awsome build u guys are doing!!! and early 2nd gens are becoming quit popular nowadays
Thanks to the mini-tubbing (which I mostly did) and custom front subframe (probably going to need a lot of work on the inner fenders though) the tires will be fully under the body.
The exhaust will be about as quiet as we can get it. It’ll have boost-actuated cutout(s) to open it up in boost conditions but most the time it’ll be pretty mellow. It’s not really getting a “lope” cam since it’s a turbo motor so at idle and cruise it should be pretty under-cover.
Yes and no. He sold his '01 SS (which he had paid off) to finance it. He’s burned through that already… but not by much. Said and done he’ll probably have less into it than he originally paid for the SS (he bought new).
