Has anyone had this problem before i just picked up the car.
could be a number of things just for starters check to see if the maf sensor is plugged in, the ecu has a safty which will stop the engine from doing more then 3500rpm. Check that and you might have found your problem
could just be the fuse for the maf sensor. check in the engine bay fuse box for any blown fuses.
My engine stuttered around 2100rpm, I changed the fuel filter and thermostat. Now it only hesitates when it is cold, after it is slightly warmed up, it runs fine. I did a lot of things to diagnose the car, the hesitation at low rpm’s was a mystery. lol

my sisters 95 did this once it was a mafs.
the second time, the fuel pump died shortly after similar problems.
I had one with a similar problem, it hesitates at 3500, it turned out to be a maf.
