95 Honda, replacing lost keyfob

Sooo… i purchased a 95 Honda that did not have the remotes for power unlocks/locks. It only has 1 key. How do you go about getting that replaced? I assume dealer rape time? Any other options?

Thanks.

If you want it to work with the factory stuff just save yourself the aggravation and bend over for the stealership.

Any ideas on rough cost on a new unit?

You can order them off ebay most of the time an apparently they are pretty easy to program

find any fob off same vehicle and its a 5min job to program it…

ebay and theyre about $20 for a set.

I bought a set for my truck and so did my brother and my father.

You can program them yourself. Its just a matter of cycling the key and lock buttons a certain way.

Well if its a VW or Audi, they are around $160 for a new unit. :ninja

I went on eBay for my Subaru.

$50 and 3 mins of programming.

Well good thing the title clearly states 95 Honda you idiot

How big of a pain in the dick is programming on that

piece of cake…

Go jump off a cliff you midget

Theyre usually easy.
On my truck I just had to turn the key on and off a few times fast and then hit the buttons.

Took about 5 minutes.

cycle the key 5 times to the on position …then the locks will cycle…then hold the fob towards the dash and press lock and unlock on the fob…program complete…

or get a remote start and have em wire in the lock system !!!

Are you sure it has a remote? I have a 95 EX with every factory option, I thought, and that did not come with keyless.

i dont know i just assumed it would… has every option even leather

So anyway why the hell did you buy a 16 year old Honda when you have a brand new truck?

needed a commuter. i drive 70+ miles a day.
