Sorry to hear mike looks like the ring and pinion bit the dust
Yeouch. That really sucks.
Sucks hard Mike. Reminds me of the last 350Z’s oil pan. The BMW will be >>>>> the Porsche.
you didnt use any DSM parts on it at some point did you?
Ok, pulled all the bodywork (minus doors and hatch) today, along with the engine, all remaining suspension components, front crossmember, radiator, oil cooler, exhaust, crossover pipe, turbo etc. Need to pull one more brace (4 13mm bolts) and the torque tube is on the ground. Exhausted.
gasp where’d it go!
wow
why is it coming apart, you aren’t throwing in the towel are you?
i’m just afraid what your “style” may end up being
that intercooler is serious man. very good progress
and I got exhausted puting the snows on the Jetta today I can’t imagine that amount of work…
Thanks guys, and Burke you know how I work when I want to get something done. Hell how fast did I get those bolts out of your caliper bracket? Tomorrow I’ll be helping Phil, but hopefully putting the engine on the stand this weekend and pulling the suspension apart for the new trick multipiece front crossmember. This job has been considerably easier:
Thankfully I’ve just been helping with that, it’s not my project.
Ok, didnt get THAT much done today. Actually decided to get some sleep and my back was bothering me. Anyway, here’s today’s progress:
Spec Stage 3k and stock flywheel
Engine with the crossover pipe of doom.
Another look at the current mess.
On the stand, waiting on me to pull the accessories and headers off. I also started pulling apart the front suspension today, but doubt I’ll get back to that till late tomorrow or Monday.
Damn, Nice progress.
My mess is just sitting and waiting to be taken apart.
your so damn fast at that. I wish i had skillz like yours.
haha, I’ll say it first.
“It’s easy when you’ve done it 100 times.”
