my heat wont blow hot for about 30 mins after driving. sometimes it doesnt even blow hot. the heater core was just replaced in october of 2009. i cant seem to diagnose the problem and would like some help figuring this out.

Yes, it’s prob not more than $20. Replace that, it should fix it. if it doesn’t fix the prob you have another problem

Oh forgot to mention I have a very reliable accord I would trade for your gti with cash on my end of course. Just keep that in mind
the thermostat is located near the coil-pack just in front of it (closer to the radiator) and prepare to make a mess as coolant will splash off everything.

It might just have air in the system. Especially since there has been work done fairly recently. Sometimes it helps to drill a tiny hole on the outside of the thermostat to let the air bubbles through.
its been fine since the work was done. its been doing this for about 3 days
probably a problem with the temperature blend door if its not the thermostat
