Through searching I have not found nearly as many cases of RSX transmission failures as I have early WRX tranny failures.

Here are some facts.
About $1600 just for brand new stock gears for my car.
Used transmissions run about 1g in good condition but try finding one that doesn’t have a blown gear or multiple grinds. Mine has a few small grind 1st, 4th, and 5th.

Also.
FWD or RWD all the excess tension and shock is released through the wheels spinning.
AWD all that excess tension and shock is released through the drivetrain it’s self.

i’d just launch the wrx… who cares, it prolly never been launched just go balls out. launch it at the track but not where tire tracks and you’ll just spin… if you’ve got enough power.

FWD with 24.5" slicks on 10psi = no stress relief, sorry. ;D
