97 Legacy limited wagon 171k $3200

SOLD

It’s a 97 legacy limited, black and gray with gray leather interior. Body is in decent shape, a few scratches, a few dents and some good ol’ WNY rust. Interior is very clean, driver seat shows very little wear and the other seats are near perfect. Leather is regularly cleaned/conditioned. I just got the car back from my mechanic (psychopjv) who took care of a few problems for me so I could sell it in good conscience. He installed a new oil pan because the last one was leaking, changed my oil and filter, new rear brake line and a new gas return line. When I got it home I installed a new front passenger caliper, new front brake pads, new rear door shocks, new rear window wiper motor, front wiper blades and a new ac compressor. I just charged the system and it blows ice cold a/c again. The previous owner replaced 2 other calipers, k&n drop in air filter and installed a new alternator in 2008.

The body has 171k but the motor was rebuilt at 125k. Previous owner didn’t torque the crank pulley down when he changed the water pump, so it did lots of motor damage. So it’s got a new OEM crank, bearings, piston rings, water pump, timing belt, oil pump, head gasket and a bunch of other minor things when the motor was apart. It was rebuilt by a certified subaru mechanic in his home garage.

Features:
leather interior
heated seats
freshly recharged a/c system
awd
automatic
fog lights
rear window wiper
power windows and locks
remote start
aftermarket sony cd player (will include factory cassette weatherband radio)
roof rack
trailer hitch and wiring
inspected until 11/10

The car will come with four, 6 month old firestone winterforce snow tires that have 6k miles on them.

Sounds like a really good deal.

Thanks, I’ve got it on craigslist for $3750, since the lowballers suck so bad on it. I’m pretty firm at 3200 as I’ve got nearly 5k into it…jeesh. Haha. Cars suck! It’s really been a great car, it’s just time for something a little simpler/cheaper for me. I could use the extra money right now.

Ya I see this car allll the time, I love the look of the subaru, and there are such solid cars.

this is a very clean example.

Took a deposit today. Should be sold on monday. Thanks for the kind words gentlemen. Well worth dealing with the bullshit from craigslist, sold it to a super nice UB student who’s going to really enjoy the car.

congratsssss  now what?

Selling my in a week or two that in the almost EXACT same condition/situation with the newer motor and everything. Hope mine sells this quickly.

Mind if i ask how much you got for it? Throw me a PM if you don’t mind.
