Car: 1999 Honda Civic SI
78k on the chasis
Car has seen 2 Winters since it’s birth
I’ve owned it since 2000
Details: car was stored this past winter, but drivin the 2 winter previous to this one. All other winters it has been stored indoors.
engine: jdm b16 mileage unknown (never been boosted)
tranny: LS, smooth as butter baby (long gearing sucks though on all motor)
interior: custom dove grey leather professionally installed
brakes - new last summer
clutch - new last summer
Car throws no codes and is OBD-II compliant so you will have no issues come inspection time.
Engine was pulled last summer and all gaskets were replaced (t-stat gasket wasn’t replaced and it was crusty so it’s leaking a touch, very little but still present. I have a new one just have been too busy to put it in)
Random brackets and such in engine bay have been powdercoated to inhibit rust and look purdy
Tires- Kumho Solus with almost new tread on stock wheels
Winter tires - Almost new general altimax arctics on steelies
radio - old pioneer cd player (stock player gone, but completely sucked anyways)
Prewired for a system, just add sub/amp and hook up existing wires
new battery last summer
The bad:
The only mechanical defect on the car that I know of is that the rear defroster doesn’t work. The lines in the glass got jacked up when removing tint
needs bodywork: For those of you who are OGs may remember the car had a full body kit and ricer wing, so when I removed all that crap damage where side skirts meet occured, holes in trunk lid where spoiler was, etc. The rear fender is dented in pretty good on the passenger side where I got hit while parked. The car needs definately needs body/paint work to look perfect again. But honestly even with damage that exists, it still looks pretty damn good.
One wheel got jacked up from some standing water when they were being stored, meaning the surface of it got all crapped up
The good:
Car has never been in an accident, so nothing chassis wise has ever been tweaked or is secretly rotting out behind fenders or anything
The paint that hasn’t been beat up is in pretty good shape.
Mechanically strong - this car is a great DD, good on gas, smooth as can be
Not a rustbucket underneath, should be pretty much one of the easiest 12 year old cars to tear apart/work on that has lived in buffalo it’s entire life.
Not pictured I do have the OEM front lip in mint condition (hell, it was prob on the car less than 5k miles)
Priced to sell: $4,000 FIRM - I will not take any less. I will either light it on fire to sacrifice to the Honda gods or donate it to Swerve and turn this thing into a shop drag car before I sell it for under 4k. I’d be keeping it if I had the extra room but I already have too many cars and want to make room for more race cars. What I’m trying to say is, it’s a great car for 4k.
The car is on the road til may 3rd then the registration expires and I’m taking it off the road so if you’d like to test drive, now is the time. This car really is a must see/drive to realize what you get for your money. If you got a body/paint hook up, this is the car for you.
Pictures: Took pics of the bay before I cleaned it up, looks much better now.
