We usually take the Holiday time to work on a few new products while we have a breather. Here our are 2 latest manifolds,
Stock replacement SR20 Manifold
K20 T3 swap manifold
Inaddition we are currently working on our new road race/time attack dc2 integra, should have some pics and a break down of the car in the near future.
I guess losing displacement with the SR and paying a ton of money for parts is the cool thing to do cause its JDM tyte yo! Oh and not to mention when you break something you have to find a part and most likely wait for shipping from japan. So in the end SR FTL KA>SR
Yea that’s exactly it, I love being a jdm fanboy soooo much that I waste money on swapping the engine… :umm
I also love the response that since it is a jdm motor parts are somehow impossible to get. In case you haven’t heard, the sr20 motor has been just a little popular over the last 5 years, so parts are fairly easy to come by. And what was that? You can use parts off of other american nissan vehicles as oem replacements??? That’s unheard of. I guess you’re right, parts are impossible to find and I should just go home and light my car on fire. I would also dare to say that you would pay more for certain ka parts then you would sr parts due to all of us “fanboys” buying the sr over the last few years.
I like the sr because it is the best bang for the buck in my opinion. Trust me I was on the “I will never own an sr” bandwagon for a long time. But, with the availability and low price of front clips, I believe that for performance purposes, you cannot go wrong with the sr.
I’m not saying I’m right and you’re wrong because there is definitely two sides to this debate and we aren’t the first to argue it. I just hate when people use the reasoning of “parts availability” or being “mad jdm tyte” for why people own an sr. I could give a shit if anything on my car was mad jdm, I live in America lol.
Ive had an S14 SR… Currently have a KA-T in my track car… It has nothing to do with “never owning an SR bandwagon” cause ive owned one… In my expierence its more cost effective to build a KA-T the right way and get high HP numbers, then to Buy a SR and build it to get the same HP numbers as a Built KA… No Argument at all, matter of opinion… Figure it this way… SR moterset lets say $2000 -$2500, Plus the cost of any aftermarket upgrades eg. turbo, manifold etc. Why not just take that money and build a strong KA-T for less and make more HP? The only upside of a SR is the shorter stroke wich means higher RPMs
Nice manifolds though! Maybe someday I’ll ask you guys make an RB manifold! There isn’t too many good companys out there that make them for under $1000
i got my sr motor for $1600 with HKS three puck clutch and toda racing flywheel. not to bad of a price and it was cheaper then building my blown up ka. it all depends on how much power you wanna make. i like about 250-300hp tops and love the quick spool up. not to mention the sr is lighter then the ka.
and i smoked my buddys S-14 with a huge turbo and 350-400hp and the drag stip all day. it all comes down to what YOU want, not what is better or whats everyone else is doing. are you gonna call everyone with a swapped civic or integra on a banwagon? if you want a ka thats fine good for you i wanted and sr thats fine for me. why make a big deal about it? do you see ross petty drifting his s-13 with a built ka-t nope better call him a fan boi…and what about the 350z with a titan motor thats swapped lets make fun of him now too!
