To make a long story short which I will detail later on. Albany speed shop crew are about to pull an all nighter fixing and completing a job that was left by someone else. Without them I would of been put in the position of possibly losing a major sponsor for my team and myself. Add in the fact they took job on no notice what so ever.

Thats awesome. That’s customer service. I was there today, my buddy’s Jeep was in for some work and he needed a ride. I’ll have my car there next week to finish somethings. So the Z will be back on the road.
Maybe I saw your car? I don’t remember seeing an Audi. There was a Miata spec build, mustang, a track car?, a challenger 5.7L from MA doing baseline pulls. Waiting for a Procharger. Some other car’s I paid no attention to.
mine was the dirty as hell s4 on the right with no front end :lol I just got home from A.S.S. and i am grinning ear to ear right this sec.
Basicly to sum up the situation I dropped the car off at northeast who hired a mutual friend of the owners and myself to subcontract the motor work. Now this is the very same person who introduced NE and myself so he is reasonable for a good portion of the progress the car has had in the last 2 seasons.
So he starts the project just fine matter fact making a fantastic pace. All of sudden he goes ninja cracker on us. Now he is still stopping by on occasion and doesn’t seem to be dodging build. Since he started a new job i understood he would be doing it after hrs. Now a week goes by and there really isn’t any progress so that was my first clue. I kinda wanted to pull the plug with him then but aj and myself felt it wasn’t an issue.
Well we were wrong matter fact I saw this individual sat who informed me then he quit the build and told AJ so. Now this means he didn’t order parts we need to complete build…nothing huge just a belt and couplings. But the show is coming up less then a week away.
I then email daryl in a blind panic writing a long book of my pain and suffering his reply was very simple. We will tow it to ass and get it running. I am happy to say they did just that. I am still in crunch time since now it has to go to the audio shop for sony toys then back to body shop to get a few things adjusted. But at least now the car runs and it has a shot of making show. Neal and eric stayed after hrs matter fact to make sure this was the case. I can’t thank them enough.
If this fawker told me he was gonna do this 3 weeks ago I would of wanted to remain friends and would of understood he had some stuff going on. but he almost completely not only fawked me but members of my team with no real explaniation.
ok sorry i wrote a book here but I wanted shift to know exactly what the situation really was.
Now the best parts of the day were the pizza and wings Jay bought and the fact that we had to grind him a little,well maybe more then a little, but he was a good sport and Neil and Derek get the credit for this. They really came through for all of us.
At least you’ll sleep a little tonight!! See you in the am and we’ll get her to Zims for an audio update!

lmao i gotta add to this that the fact it was my cars first time on a flat bed…i was fawking worried sick that it would destroy the rear end kit…not one scratch thanks to dave. when the car is pushed in the shop holy shit did they give me crap about it being a dirty car. “omg i wouldn’t even admit something that dirty was mine!” was probably the best. “yup what are we charging jay 4X the going rate for short notice!”

I will throw my 2 cents in too:
I was trying to sell my Ranger for a while and as soon as I listed it, a caliper froze, then the other side has a busted bleeder and I had to get another caliper. Then it started making some rotational noise a few days later. I limped it to Darryls one night and it went to shit in his driveway. So it sat around for a week while I had my dirt bike stolen, struggling to find another daily driver to get to work… all hell broke loose.
then I got a call from Darryl, “Hey I have your truck here at ASS and I have my new kid taking it all apart!” It made my day, my week and even my month. He knew how much shit I had piled on my shoulders and how everything I was dealing with was going wrong. Also since it was dead in his driveway, he was kind enough to bring it to the shop in Albany and fix it all up.
They went through the entire front end, I had 2 ball joints I hadn’t put in yet, dropped them off and they put them in, replaced the lowers while they were in there, replaced the blown hub/wheelbearing, did an alignment, inspected it and now it drives better than it ever did! Hooked me up with the parts at cost. His new kid got to show the skills he has and got some work done. Everyone was winning.
Like J said, I slept much better that night. Its a huge load off my mind, so i can catch up on the stuff I need to do to get ready for my wedding in less than a month. I cant say enough about Darrly and the guys at ASS. They bust their ass just like any best friend would do for someone.
Love hearing this kind of shit. I bring all my alignments and shit there and often refer my customers there as well.

Man, these guys seem legit. They did a real nice job on my old white Supra for an alignment. Good to hear this stuff. Will definitely have them in mind.
Good to hear of somewhere you can TRUST. Doesn’t seem like many places exist like that anymore.
these guys are really good shit…even if you just need an opinion on something they are their and offer their services…if they think they know someone that can help you out they will set you straight
quick update
car left A.S.S this morning and is now undergoing audio build. Now i got to give zimms mobile audio cred on this. Since sony took forever to get the gear to me they didn’t have much time to get this done. But wow they are cranking away and it is going to look amazing. Also it doesn’t stop there northeast autobody is going to be finishing up body work while the audio is being done!!! So 2 seperate companies working on it at the same time! We truly have some amazing people in the scene here and I can’t thank them enough.
