We had some sheets of carbon laying around so rather than use the plain black we had last year for the bumper ducts, Emery made these.

I’m a fan.

And the Sparco wheel is fitted on.

The blockoffs look good. Were going to do a set on marks car this year.

I dunno how I missed the pictures of the roof before, but wow nice job there  car looks great

Block offs look good…was the oil cooler reloacted?

dry hood/trunk but gloss everything else?

regardless, it will look tasty.

yeah i was wondering the same thing

We’ll be leaving it all alone. The dry carbon has a VERY thin coat of clear and Seibon said if I wanted more gloss we could sand and paint it like normal… but paint is heavy and would completely ruin the whole concept here.

I did put a single coat of glaze on the hood and it deepened the color. I think with a few more passes I can make it shine. And I will make sure to use the least reflective products I have on the roof to keep it all somewhat even.

The lip is extremely shiny though, and same with the roof, I’ll try and tone it down. Or maybe I’ll take some sandpaper to it so it matches the hood… just kidding. :roflpicard:

you could probably do that successfully with some wet 3000+; and if you had any doubts, buff it back

I actually did consider letting Cory do just that, only because that color blue is really flashy and sometimes less is more.

I haven’t even seen the car in one piece or out in the daylight yet, but I don’t think the looks are going to be the main concern… needs a motor first!

We have no need for an oil cooler this year so it has been removed.

really?

your moonroof must weigh a ton

I calculated 40lbs of savings with my CF roof in a Corrado

Project looks really good and well done.’

Carbon Fiber Roof is gay!

So, it’s taking a little longer than expected to get the parachute and cage installed, but things are still going well. I had mentioned before they were going to use some electro-static-gizmo to paint the cage INSIDE the car… well, I guess the painter showed up and said “Not in THIS car!”

So, they are tacking it all in place, taking it out to paint… then welding it all back in.

It’ll take an extra few weeks, but I appreciate the respect they showed the car and it’s well worth the wait.

In the meantime, this showed up:

Tom at Driven Innovations just sent us this manifold! He strongly felt that his manifold would be a perfect addition to our goals, and gave it to us to run!

We’ve been up in the air on what intake manifold to run this season, but seeing this thing in person, it is by far the best design out there for what we want to do!

Thanks again Tom! I can’t wait to get this thing going!

 to progress

heard the car is back from getting caged? pics! lol

They are coming!! I’m fighting with a trunk right now! But I’ve cleaned her all up and it’s quite sexy.

Where are those pics!?

Sorry it’s been so long since I posted an update. I wanted to get it outside and get some better pictures, but this will have to do. I was in kind of tight quarters, so I cant really get a good, whole shot of the car, but for now, here she sits:

We will have to take a hole saw to the RICER plate to get it to fit on there… but you better believe she will be tagged!! {thumbup}
