abandoned property laws in NY??

Well it turns out my father inlaw went to school with the women’s son and was able to get in touch with him this morning. He has agreed to remove her belongings by Saturday evening. I’m fully aware of how all of NY state laws side with the tennant especially when it comes to awarding damages and what not. So hopefully this will be the end of it and I can get the unit cleaned up and on the market Sunday.

It sounds like a win win situation if he does move her stuff out… Good luck I hope it works out for you… If it does it saves you a ton in lawyer fees…Bill:giggle
