Acerage/Land within 30min of 14223

I was given a 40ft trailer home from my parents and instead of finding a RV park to lease the land. I want to find some land i would be able to set it on and later build my house on it.

Im new to this to direct me if you can also but im looking for land that is residential and have access to all the utilities etc.

At Least 10 Acres
Has to have road access

Who should i ask or if you know anyone that want to sell some land lets get it done!

My friends wife is a realtor. PM me your contact info. and I can put you in touch with her. She helped me buy my 14 acres.

I’m also in the market for acreage. Looking for 30+ though and probably in PA.
I’m trying to learn about mineral rights etc… and what to look for on that stuff. Any insight on what to look for when buying land fellas?

Buy 30+ Acres of good woodland, call in some people to harvest all the hardwood, then resell for same price after profit.

Reselling timber was surely part of my ploy.
Do you know what type of tree is most favorable? I have alot of resarch to do but it’s looking like PA or West VA are my desired locations.

Locate/hire a timber company to do a survey. Look out for protected wetlands, utility easements, etc. Don’t make snap fecisions and do your research. Some timber is worthless.

Osage Orange is worth quite a bit! But it doesn’t grow anywhere near here, lol.
Oak (any kind of it), is super common around here and worth a fair bit.
Cherry is common as well and preferred among burners here.

Places won’t harvest wood for lumber because if there’s a nail or something inside of it, it would ruin their blade and thus lose money :stuck_out_tongue:
But they’ll harvest for firewood for sure.
Some guys that operate on their own might use it on their own mill… but major companies won’t.

Just keep in mind, usually they don’t harvest the tree tops. They just leave them where they are.
So that’s up to you to clean up, but that’s easily remedied by a craigslist post.
