Adam's 2JZ Powered s14 Build

************* Adam’s 2JZ powered s14 Build Thread *************

I got this car with the swap already done but all the wrench turning and assembly was below my standards so I am rebuilding all of it.

When I bought the car it made 497rwhp @ 17.5 psi tuned by Dynamotorsports (Tony)

My goal is 600rwhp minimum for daily driver/summer car

Here is what the car looked like when I got it

Started it up one morning and heard a misfire so I did a compression test, every cylinder was amazing 160-165… except #6 it was at 40 psi :frowning: I then did a leak down test and heard the intake valves leaking so I knew they were bent or stretched so disassembly started…

The tranny is an R154 from a Mk3 supra. The shiter is a C’s short shifter which has a rubber bushing inside… I wanted a solid shifter feel so I modified it, shortened it, machined a solid bushing on a lathe then welded it back together. Special thanks to my homie Drew for always letting me use his shop

Exhaust is 2 feet of 3" downpipe to 4" all the way to the back to a Vibrant muffler… I welded up the muffler without having the car at the shop… I just positioned it at home and put in a bunch of shims and got lucky I guess

Any comments or suggestions greatly appreciated

I couldn’t post in the build thread section… can someone move it please?

Great start Adam, what are your plans for intercooler setup?

looks beautiful!

this is pretty cool. good luck with the build

what headgasket did you use?

I’ve read that the straight six are a bit tough to seal a metal gasket without machining the block…

Looks pretty awesome dude. Keep the updates coming!

I have a 4.5 inch thick ARC intercooler begging for this car. PM ME! Great work man!

I got a brand new precision turbo 750hp one, but thank you!

Nice build sir, I have some questions.

What valves are those? They look oversize

Is it stock long block otherwise?

Which final drive do you have?

Is the shifter housing lengthened or did you just bend the lever?

Did you relocate fuel lines to driver side?

Any traction issues with 480whp?

PS. I remember seeing this car FS on autotrader for a pretty penny

Wrecked it with shitty green powder

I agree. Why do people do this?

His color choice might not be everyone’s favorite but the quality of workmanship is definitely there, looks good dude keep the updates coming.

agreed. This guy knows his stuff. Quality of workmanship is top notch.

Love it.

What ecu are you planning to use?

Most likely an AEM v2 plug and play but if I can find a used Motec M600 ill go with that.

baller. You should do v161 too!

you should get the see thru cam gear dust cover! save that engine brooo!

I will be driving it with the OEM supra sparkplug cover/timing gear cover, pictures taken with it off was because it was only sitting in the garage, I wouldn’t drive it like that
