He is a pitbull mix, not sure what he’s mixed with but thats how he got the Merle gen. He’s a bit shy at first but now he feels right at home! Although we’re going to be closing on our house in a few weeks, so we will have to move a few blocks from where we are currently, hope he handles it well. He is around 2years old and is very sweet, has a nice build.
Good looking dog
Where did you get him from?
nice!
It’s very possible that he’s mixed with Catahoula.
Got him from educat a bull. Just got him yesterday, he was in a foster home for 3months since his rescue. I remember when they first posted his pictures to adopt him in September, i wasnt in the market for him at the time but some how no one adopted him since then. We were supposed to close on our house in December but it took longer than expected and we couldn’t wait to get a dog, once we met him we had to have him. It did take a few weeks to finally have the home visit and then for him to visit us, finally he is ours :). He still is getting used to his new living arrangements, he get a little anxious sometimes and is a little jumpy when he hears sounds, but he is just so sweet.
Let me know if you want to socialize him…Judging from the pics you aren’t to far from me (Tonawanda)
Ah that is where I got all 3 of mine from
Good people and good friends there
I love the ear!
Awesome job saving him!
Lol I was walking him in lackawanna, thats where I live(the nice part of lackawanna that is).
Yeah we def will socialize him, when we first met him it was on a Sunday at a pets supplies plus. That’s where educate a bull does meet and greets for the adoptable dogs, so he’s good with dogs, doesn’t pull or show much interest when around a lot of dogs which is a plus. When he lived with his foster family they had a dog he played with, so I’m glad he gets along with other dogs. Although I haven’t scheduled a play date with my few friends who also have dogs.
He also gets along with our cat which we weren’t sure how he would react to him. Educate a bull does special events/get togethers like hike a bull at chestnut ridge park where everyone can walk their dogs, so we will probably be doing that as well!

Thanks, I definitely give credit to the rescue programs, like educate a bull definitely made the difference and saved him and many other dogs. He came from down south and I heard they kill dogs after like 3days of being sheltered, also heard one of the shelters down there was going to kill all the dogs in one of the kennel sections so they could paint the walls… Its pretty bad down south with the kill shelters. The dogs only have days to be saved.
Ringo was locked in a garage for possible most of his life, i think in the dark but not sure. the before picture I seen of him he was skin and bones, it just amazes me how thick and hardy he is now. I just can’t believe someone would allow this to happen to such a unique looking dog, let alone any innocent animal. I love his pink nose/mouth, just overall I’m very happy with him.

Awesome dog! Welcome to the rescue murder dog club!
He’s a good looking dog. Get him neutered ASAP so we can stop rescuing the over population of pitbulls.
He’s neutered, chipped and vaccinated.
Rescues won’t send out dogs that are not neutered/spayed
Oh nice, I had no idea.
How’s he around other dogs?? Once the weather breaks I wanna get a bunch of people to go to the dog park at Ellicott creek.
WE usually take Bambi to either the Barkyard (http://www.thebarkyard.org/) or there is a really nice park out by Art Park https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lewiston-Dog-Park/150864668309702. The people and the dogs at Lewiston Park seem to be more “Dog People” and understand how dogs play, they clean up after them, and handle their dogs very well.
We recently just took in a rescued dog from a large puppy-mill surrender Near Syracuse. Siberian Husky, “Bo”.

I figure about 10-11 months old. He is super shy right now but warming up to us. He doesn’t know trees or stairs or outside, nothing. He spent his whole life in a barn I don;t have a lot of other info. We are spending time with him 100% and he’s warming up to us but it’s going to take a long time to socialize him and train him. He already escaped from us once 2 nights ago, and was missing all night in 0 degree weather. Thankfully he stayed close and we got him back the next morning. He is not neutered yet but he goes this week. Great dog with not the slightest bit of aggression. I’ve wanted a husky my whole life and I’m so happy to have him.
If anyone knows anything about the surrender I’d love to hear about it.
nice looking pup and thanks for rescuing. You also picked a really good group to adopt from.
Love the ears on ringo. We also adopted a rescue pitbull mix 3 months ago and love her. Rdandy^^ had a husky growing up named bo loved that dog!
Educate-A-Bull is a really great organization, and Ringo is incredibly handsome. He’s probably got some Catahoula in there, love the merle markings! Pits are incredibly resilient, I bet he will settle in to your new place just fine.
