Advanced Riders Course?

FYI, I don’t even own a motorcycle, sold it last year to fund electrical work, and bolt a lift down in my shop. Thankfully Jack’s still around after the sale, we had a heart to heart before I would complete the transaction. I continue to teach because I’m sick of reading the obits… And that rib on you boxxa accomplished what I wanted it to, got your attention didn’t it? High rates of speed, inexperience, and target fixation can be a mother-fucker. Hate me as you do, I prefer not to read about your end on the road. I spent two days this weekend on the range coaching a scooter class, yes, SCOOTERS. Put as much effort into it as I would any other class. Even though I still think they’re too slow, underpowered and dangerous on larger public roads. They’re a braver bunch than me. Unless it’s a SIQ stretched $6k Ruckus of course.

Freek, you’re big into firearms right? How many people have bragged in the firearm world what a crack shot they were and sucked? Same thing happens in the bike world, actively searching for more knowledge and seeking more experience to improve your skills tightens the shot group.

Recent positive experience by a friend of mine over on SR just raved about http://tracktactics.org/ for track schooling.

anybody looking to do track days, I would highly recommend TrackTactics.
Very well done, whether your advanced, intermediate or beginner, these guys run a great track day. coaching was great, had a walk the track, actually it was in a trailer while AMA racer Jeff Parrish did ride-bys at each corner. He actually backed it in on the carousel. The real highlight was having Dave Moss set-up our suspension for $40, each session he made adjustments until it was right, and now it is spot on, what difference.
anybody new to the track, these are the guys to check out.

I’m in, I just need a months notice esp if it’s on a weekend. Darren is an awesome instructor, I think this will be an awesome learning experience. Also going to do a track day in June in the beginner group at TMP and I can’t wait.

Honestly, people that are truly into firearms don’t brag about being a good shot usually. They say they suck and want me to teach them. lol But the analogy is not lost on me and I agree 100% with what you’re getting at.
I absolutely plan on doing the ARC and I’m calling tomorrow about it to get something setup for about a month out.

I’ll look into that too. Thanks.

Yeah, once I get my account approved on SR I’m going to check out that thread you mentioned. It sounds like something that would be perfect for me.

Do a trackday. There will be 100s of people trying to help you. Just pick the right school. Done a lot of track days and some have been hell. the right track helps too. Beaver has a nice short track but only two or three lefts. Tmp I heard was ok. whatever you do don’t do Loudon. Fucking mess there… I watched a girl blow a turn hit a tire barrier and then landed in turn 7.Pretty nasty.

Shit I just realized your one of the bums talking shit in the 219 thread.
Yet here I am giving you advice.
