AEM 1600U EMS Installed

It’s been a while since I’ve been on here (busy with work and such) I recently instalelled the new AEM 1600U (built in UEGO) and was impressed with the results with minimal tuning check it out.

Erm, OK?

That is a pretty hefty system for what appear to be a stock 240. I suppose it a good place to start… KA-T perhaps in your future.

The engine is fairly stock but despite the numbers the overall perforamnce improvement was considerable if you take a look at the difference in the torque curves. On an engine with less mileage I think the gains would be better. My engine has 318,000 km on it so the numbers are pretty damn good considering.

That being said the car only spent about 2hrs on the dyno in total. I have an S14 engine with the following being put together as we speak, that engine should make power in the 450hp range without spray.

looks sick dude! where did all that power come from?? just timing?

thats a crazy build, when do you plan to have it done by? i wanna see some crazy ass 400+ numbers downhere, how far do you plan to push your redline?

Minor adjustments to timing, we added timing near the top end and we also subtracted fuel in areas, that’s all that was done. The car is great to drive though especially with the governor removed the car pulls hard over 200km/hr. I have to replace the oil seal on my tranny before I can go back on the dyno but I expect we’ll get more out of the engine yet, I might even spray the engine this time with the 75 shot.

I think it’ll be done in August and making power won’t be the problem putting it to the ground will be. I don’t think I’ll be winding the engine out I’d say 7000rpm would be the redline, remember it’s got a long stroke unlike a B-series engine. I just want a lot of torque with a nice broad powerband. Not asking for much huh?
