“The Black Hole” is because of Al Davis. He truly built and was the Raider organization. Just Win Baby! It’s too bad he stayed around MUCH too long and the game passed him by as he refused to let go. It’s happened many times in sports but it’s usually the star athletes and not ownership/GM’s. He was a huge part of the development of the modern NFL and I give him credit for what he did in LA/Oakland. I do unfortunately agree with the opinion that as an organization the Raiders are better off now without Davis than they were with him.
