Allegany State Park

I was looking into renting a small cabin this summer but there are about a billion options. Anyone have any suggestions for which location to go to? I’m looking into just a simple place maybe close to a lake to fish. Also the cabin does not have to be huge I remember going there once as a kid and the cabin I was in was a small one room.

in the summer…

ryan trail is amazing!

something really close to the lake i think macintosh is very close… and another trail that slips my mind…

my vote is vote is for ryan trail … 3 room cabins and seriously just an amazing location. Worth EVERY CENT!

edit: I haven’t been camping in for ever :frowning:

oh… and redhouse typically has power, a better bike path and the lake is much better… quakerhouse is a little more… rustic no power and shitty bikepaths/roads.

Congdon Trail is good. Every cabin is spaced out pretty good. It’s a one room, and has 4 bunks. Its a far walk/ short drive from the lake though. Its on the Red House side. You’ll see lots of deer. Quaker has less deer but more bears!!

redhouse is the way to go in my opinion…ive stayed in macintosh in a 3 room cabin before…

Redhouse area is definitely my fav.

I go to quaker side… im usally on Angle trail. but if if you want new more overall cabins then yes to go the Red House side. also you have a lot of hiking trails, stone tower, thunder rocks, and off roading trails too… btw i go in october. u can pm me if u have any questions.

stayed on weller trail in the quaker side for 5 yrs now. Full power and showers at the end of the trail.

i stayed on both the redhouse and quaker. this year we are staying on the quaker last year we stayed on the macintosh trail on the redhouse side. big cabins shitty lay out for multiple cabin rentals on the macintosh

lol yea there were so many around us and the cops liked to drive/walk around all the time
