Alleghany park camping recommendations????

I’m looking at campsites down at Alleghany park for this summer and I need some ideas. Yes I know it sounds crazy, I sell campers to 100’s of people a year and I know nothing about camping down there.

Im looking at sites on the Quaker side, but Im wondering if anyone knows which sites are better?

Are you looking to tent or are you getting a cabin or are you bringing an RV?? Need more info. I have never brought an RV there, but I think there are only a couple sites that allow them in the park.

If your tenting I’d say do with Diehl trail. Pretty nice sites over there. A little close together for a few but tolerable.

With the cabins, there are a bunch of nice trails on both sides of the park. I like Hamlin trail on the Quaker side and Beehunter or Congdon trails on the Red House side. Parallel Trail was awesome but they are redoing it and you can’t make reservations for whats left of the old cabins. You can rent a newer cottage, but that’s not even camping. They have ceiling fans and shit. Too many modern conveniences for me.

Edit: I think Kaiser trail (if that’s what its called) is pretty nice too. I stayed there a couple times as well.

Been staying on Weller trail on the Quaker side for the last 8yrs. bathrooms and shower stalls at the base of the trail. Central location between the general store and the beach.
