Since the weather has been shit for every day that I can make time to wash my car, are there any decent alternatives? a spray/wax/compound that can clean off the car, this tree sap is killing my paint.
Yes I know this will be like giving the car a guido shower.
you could quick detail…but i’d def. wash it first otherwise your rubbing dirt etc. into the paint. other then that, wash it then wax it…

Yeah, shes right on. There really is no way to cut the corners on proper technique when it comes to detailing. I would never rub anything on the paint without it being clean first. You will be dragging all the dirt, dust, etc across the paint and creating small scratches and swirls that will eventually show strong. A good wash and wax is the best thing for your car and if you can avoid parking under a tree, i’d recomend that as well.
Z-6 Ultra Clean Gloss Enhancer Spray. It’s gets rid of water spots, bird crap, tree sap, finger prints, keeps your paint lookin’ shiney and glossy. Not really a replacement for washing the car, but it might do the trick. Only crappy thing is you can’t find it in stores. That z-6 stuff is pretty good, but not for removing anything from the car…only as a enhancer
If you have bird crap on your car, you need to be really careful. You’d be suprised at all the rocks and other “crap” thats in there that will scratch the hell out of your paint. Lots of soap and constant water with little pressure to get rid of that.
Tree sap can be taken off with alcohol, be sure to wax after.
Like Steallth said…just suck it up and wash it…if ur car sits and doesnt get driven after it rains then maybe u can get away with a quick detailer…but i would still wash it…especially if its a dark color
Truth, those damn poo nuggets will ruin your paint if your not careful! Also, you want to wash that shit off as fast as possible because if the sun bakes it into your paint your screwed.
