Made them on the lathe at NewEra after hours. Everything I wanted:
lots of tire room for the mini tub :snky:
No binding, fully adjustable, lightwight.
Set them up to center the rearend in the wheel wells.
I checked all the rear suspension specs, and it looks like my instant center is about 150ft off the front bumper. I need a adj TA next, so I can set it up better. The best 3/4 QA1 xmr rod ends.
My rearend whine got magnified into the whole car
old 60’s were 2.17-2.15’s with a 2.09 as the best. Out about 50 passes, but most were learning the car. Last 25 I had it down to 2.1s constent.
After these Iwas able to get a 2.01 1.98, and a 1.96 no wheel hop.
I made the same ones about 2 years ago; they work great. I did something similar for the spacers; but I just used a cut-off saw for mine.
I do suggest the Seals-it rod-end seals if you are going to be doing street driving; normal street dust and crap will eat those rod-ends alive, and for the $10 or so it costs for the 12 that you’ll need it’s cheap compared to 6 new rod-ends.
I drove on mine for 2-3 years with seals and the ends are still like new; typically they last 1 or 2 seasons before they are completely beat without seals.
looks good man, how will those hold up being that they are aluminum? I’d be leary about that, but i like the design, just like madman inc lca’s. Usually if you want a lightweight suspension piece you’d turn to chromoly, light but strong enough for punishment.
thanks,
I don’t think the PHR is gona go anywere, unless I hit a curb or somthing. No front sway, Im not gona have the body making any Gs. The LCA Im gona keep and eye on, I can only see the threads pulling out. But their are getting compressed on launches, and the TA holds the twisting mostly anyway.
Ill have slicks on very soon.:hitit:
